The Swiss State Secretariat for International Finance has announced (via Twitter) that Switzerland and the U.S. will start negotiations for the revision of the 1996 tax treaty between the two countries in September. The treaty was previously revised through an exchange of notes in 1997 and a protocol signed in 2009. Details of any further revisions will be published once available.
