Pakistan's Ministry of Finance has announced that the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet approved the Mobile Device Manufacturing Policy to promote local manufacturing and assembly of mobile phone handsets, including certain tax provisions. The policy was approved during a 21 May 2020 meeting.
