New Tax Treaty between Australia and Switzerland has Entered into Force
On 14 October 2014, the new income tax treaty between Australia and Switzerland entered into force. The treaty, signed 30 July 2013, replaces the 1980 tax treaty between the two countries.
Taxes Covered
The treaty covers Australian income tax, fringe benefits tax and resource rent taxes. It covers Swiss federal, cantonal and communal taxes on income and capital.
