According to recent reports, officials from Spain and Ukraine concluded negotiations with the initialing of a new income tax treaty on 15 December 2017. The treaty must be signed and ratified before entering into force, and once in force and effective, will replace the 1985 tax treaty between Spain and the former Soviet Union as it applies in respect of Spain and Ukraine.
