Officials from Libya and Saudi Arabia reportedly met on 22 January 2024 to discuss bilateral relations, including Libya's interest in concluding an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
