On 21 March 2024, the Latvian Parliament (Saeima) approved the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Moldova. The agreement, signed 11 December 2023, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
