On 26 May 2021, officials from Kenya and Saudi Arabia met to discuss bilateral relations and agreed to accelerate the negotiation and signing of an income tax treaty. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
