On 25 July 2023, Italy published Law No. 94 of 11 July 2023, which provides for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Moldova. The agreement, signed 18 June 2021, will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged. An earlier agreement between the two countries was signed in 2011 but was never ratified.
