On 25 June 2014, Guernsey ratified the pending tax information exchange agreement with Costa Rica. The agreement is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and covers Guernsey income tax and dwellings profits tax, and all Costa Rican taxes.

The agreement will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged, and apply from that date
