The Internal Revenue Service (Servicio de Rentas Internas) announced in a press release of 10 April 2012, that as from 1 January 2013 all taxpayers are required to file electronically all their tax returns (including corporate income tax and VAT returns).

Electronic templates can be obtained free of charge from the Internal Revenue Service website (www.sri.gob.ec).
