The Danish tax agency has issued a release on the result of investigations into a scheme that involved banks making dividend withholding tax refund claims on behalf of their clients. The scheme was allowed through agreements with three banks but was ended in 2015 amid the discovery of refund fraud on a much larger scale involving refund claims based on fictitious holdings in Danish Companies. …
