Canada's Department of Finance has announced that Bill C-82 for the ratification of the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI) received Royal Assent (was enacted) on 21 June 2019. Canada must now deposit its ratification instrument to bring the MLI into force for its covered agreements (tax treaties).
