On 11 December 2018, Bulgaria published the Budget Acts for Social Security and the National Health Insurance Fund for 2019. The main change is an increase in the social security contribution basis cap from BGN 2,600 per month to BGN 3,000 per month. The cap applies in respect of both employer and employee contributions.
