As part of the law providing the tax measures for the 2021 Budget, Bulgaria has extended the reduced 9% VAT rate for food ordered for takeout (packaged for home consumption), which was previously excluded from the application of the reduced rate for restaurants. The application of the reduced rate for takeout food applies from 1 December 2020 until 31 December 2021.
