On 18 April 2024, the Belgian Chamber of Representatives (lower house of parliament) approved the ratification of the pending protocol to the 2006 social security agreement with Quebec, Canada. The protocol, signed 19 April 2023, is the first to amend the agreement and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
