An amendment to the Azerbaijan Tax Code has reportedly been proposed to reduce the branch profits tax rate. Currently a branch profits tax rate of 10% is imposed on the net profit of a branch or permanent establishment in Azerbaijan when transferred to a non-resident parent. As proposed, the rate would be reduced to 5% with effect from 1 January 2025.
