The Dutch Ministry of Finance has announced that officials from Curaçao and the Netherlands signed a statement on 22 May 2019 agreeing to the submission of a bill as soon as possible to include anti-abuse provisions in the tax treaty between the two countries. This includes limitation on benefits provisions that prevent the benefits of the treaty from being used solely to avoid taxation.
